ABeam Consulting's Successful Back-Office Transformation at ENEOS Xplora USA

　ABeam Consulting Ltd. (ABeam Consulting) deployed SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition at ENEOS Xplora USA Limited (hereinafter ENEOS Xplora USA) to transform its back-office operations. By doing so, ABeam Consulting helped build a core system to streamline ENEOS Xplora USA's consolidated accounting operations and standardize its financial affairs, accounting, and procurement. ABeam Consulting assisted in the flexible creation of consolidated financial reports using SAP Group Reporting, a solution to enhance the Group's consolidated financial management. ABeam Consulting also helped automate accounting data linkage between partner companies and supplier invoice registration using SAP Business Technology Platform (hereinafter SAP BTP).

　ENEOS Xplora Group, to which ENEOS Xplora USA belongs, undertakes projects to search for and produce oil and natural gas worldwide and focuses on promoting sustainable energy usage. In 2022, ENEOS Xplora Group obtained full ownership rights to a project company to recover CO2 from coal-fired power stations and use it to increase production at its oil fields. The scale of business operations relating to financial affairs, accounting, and procurement in the United States has significantly increased with the promotion of this new business. Because of this, ENEOS Xplora USA urgently needed to improve the efficiency of its back-office operations, such as by changing its consolidation structure and integrating with group companies. ENEOS Xplora USA began this back-office transformation project to solve these issues in partnership with ABeam Consulting, which has a well-established track record of business transformations using SAP solutions.

　This project integrated and standardized the financial affairs and accounting processes across the project company  Group by adopting SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, a cloud-based ERP solution. In addition to enhancing the Group reporting functionality that leverages the flexibility of a cloud-based system, ABeam Consulting also transformed ENEOS Xplora USA's back-office operations by automating and streamlining operations using SAP BTP.

　Specifically, ABeam Consulting made accounting operations more efficient by enabling the automated sharing of platform maintenance and procurement data. Automating both the registering of supplier invoices and offsetting entries in consolidation operations has significantly reduced the workload of settling accounts and consolidation tasks. ABeam Consulting also made reporting more flexible by enabling quick and accurate data analysis. This efficiency helped increase the automation rate to 70%, reduce the work time by 67%, and, ultimately, streamline the business operations of ENEOS Xplora USA.

　ABeam Consulting leveraged its vast track record of deploying SAP solutions, expertise in the energy industry, and deep insights regarding SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP BTP to formulate a deployment plan based on its experience in facilitating digital transformations (DX). Under this plan, ABeam Consulting helped standardize and optimize ENEOS Xplora USA's business processes.
