ABeam Innovation Lab for SDGs - Brainstorming meetings for discussing business ideas in the area of social contribution

Through regular meetings and using online communication tools, the ABeam Innovation Lab for SDGs holds discussions on business ideas as a base camp where people interested in the SDGs can gather, learn, and discuss business ideas, and serves as a space for materializing those ideas as output inside or outside the company.

Since FY2020, we have collaborated on the “Beyond Meetings” of and Beyond Company* (aBC), with whom ABeam is involved as a part of our CSR activities; these meetings are held as online events combining a three-minute pitch from members with business ideas and a brainstorming meeting with participants.

*Since 2018 ABeam has been involved in the operation of aBC as a part of our sustainability activities.

• Introduction of SDGs x ESG x ABeam services
• Introduction of project related to social Contribution in the Kingdom of Bhutan
• ABeam Social Innovation Pitch: Including topics such as healthcare and nursing, development of SDGs services, food loss, creating jobs for Syrian refugees, social inequality in Thailand, and the education gap in South Korea under the Covid-19 pandemic
• ABeam Social Innovation Pitch x Social Ventures : Invited social ventures from Laos
  (Online sales promotion of handmade products by people with disabilities, Fair productivity improvement of crops, Local restaurants/ Grocery store information site management)

Going forward, the ABeam Innovation Lab for SDGs will continue working toward its aims of finding and developing human capital who will take the initiative in working to solve social issues through the SDGs, and expanding the development of new SDGs-related services.
