ABeam Consulting drives initiatives on carbon neutrality and preserving bio-diversity.
At ABeam Consulting, we are continually striving to reduce the environmental burden of our corporate activities. Amid the accelerating global trend toward realizing a decarbonized society, ABeam has set a target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 in terms of greenhouse gases emitted by energy sources used by all of our offices in Japan and abroad, and we are working to achieve this objective. In addition, our employees are united in their efforts to preserve the environment through volunteer activities and Re-Style, thereby contributing to the realization of environmental sustainability.
Cleaning up the local environment and preserving bio-diversity
In partnership with public service corporations and non-profit organizations, ABeam Consulting has been working to clean up waterways and engaging in activities to preserve bio-diversity since FY2006.
We treat these activities as learning opportunities that give employees and their families a personal connection to environmental issues. We will continue to engage in these activities, as it allows them to experience how they can personally work to address such issues.
Preserving the natural environment of Mount Fuji
ABeam Consulting supports the Approved Specified NPO Fujisan Club, which works to preserve the natural environment of Mount Fuji. We work with the Club in cleaning up and removing non-native vegetation from the base of the mountain. ABeam participates in these activities to help to preserve the natural environment of Mount Fuji, an important national symbol for Japan. We also work to raise the awareness of sustainability efforts of employees.
Tree planting activities (SEA Steps to Change)
SEA Steps to Change is an ABeam initiative in our South-East Asia locations that raises awareness of sustainability issues and promotes employee health. ABeam Consulting has planted some 800 trees across Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia as part of this initiative. These activities broaden employee understanding of local ecosystems and sustainability issues, and fosters a sense of being global citizens.
