obtained ISO27001:2013 certification,
an internationally recognized Information
Security Management System (ISMS) accredited by
the British Standards Institute (BSI).
We are pleased to announce that ABeam Consulting Malaysia has achieved the internationally recognized ISO27001:2013 certification for an information security management system (ISMS) certified by British Standards Institution (BSI).
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) defines the ISO27001:2013 as follows
“ISO/IEC 27001:2013 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization.”
The certification process itself is rigorous, lengthy – 6 months in duration, therefore, epitomes our commitment and practices on a total of 114 security controls, security risks assessments and treatments, security incidents handling, proactive and mitigative actions, business continuity and other essential security frameworks.
The exercise also sees the emergence of a new ISMS team structure for ABeam Consulting Malaysia that has been put into deployment since the start of the certification audit preparation covering consulting, outsourcing and education. In-scope for this certification includes Industry, Process & Technology, Strategy AMS, Education, Global Information Services , HR and Finance. The achievement of this level of security accreditation is a team effort.
The ISO27001 certification, fittingly, has aligned us to ABeam Consulting Japan Information Security Management System goals, compliances and regulatory. And living up to our ABeam Real Partner philosophy, this will indefinitely augur well with on-going assurance for our clients
who at the center of our IT implementation and support activities as it shows our prioritization on data security and confidentiality.
It is important to know the certification has set ABeam Consulting Malaysia into a new course on greater compliances and heighten corporate awareness on information security, hence, this is an ongoing process in tandem with our business growth and evolution over time.
