Supporting the revitalization of Yamagata
In FY2019 and FY2021 we conducted efforts to liven up games played by Montedio Yamagata, a professional football club sponsored by ABeam, as well as local restaurants.
We conducted planning efforts for the distribution of face paint stickers and the sale of stickers on the LINE app, as well as fireworks displays on game days, which the residents were also pleased with.
Our planning efforts to distribute “Gourmet Coupons” to support local restaurants affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, enabled us to contribute to the revitalization of local restaurants through Montedio Yamagata, with restaurant staff saying they were very grateful because many people used the coupons.
In addition, in FY2019 we held a tour to watch away game with employees, with around 80 employees joining to watch a game played in the Kanto region. Through the event, in addition to further deepening interest in Yamagata, employees who participated said that through Montedio they were “able to sense the connection between the region and ABeam”, and that it was an opportunity to think more deeply about Yamagata.
For our future activities, along with holding company events and providing information to increase the number of people who are fans of Montedio as well as Yamagata as a part of our support for Montedio Yamagata, we will implement measures that can contribute to Yamagata and other regions from a sustainability perspective.
