Why ABeam ?

I was seeking employment with a core focus on environments in which I could be active globally, and I joined the company because of the many overseas business opportunities and the human touch that the members had. Once I actually joined, I found that there were chances to be successful globally even as a younger employee, and that there is a firmly-rooted culture placing a high value on producing major results as a team.

Since I had always been very eager to be active overseas, I took advantage of a chance to work in Malaysia through GTA (an in-house system for accumulating training as a global consultant through one year of OJT at an overseas office). Upon completing GTA, my eagerness to contribute to offices overseas grew stronger, so I communicated my wish to change my residency and be a Managing Director (MD) or counselor at the head office. I received support from both Malaysia and Japan, and it was decided that I could keep working as a resident in Malaysia for another two years. My sense of ABeam's appeal is the way in which they assign fields of professional challenges in light of personal career aims.

Experiences in ABeam ~ Impressive Project~

In Japan, I have been in charge of projects in the personnel field (HR systems design, systems implementation, overseas deployment, etc.), in which knowledge of business processes in that field and of solutions is a must. In Malaysia, meanwhile, the work is more diversified. In working on new business development projects, I've been involved in relationship-building with partner companies, marketing, solutions development and proposal activities. It's much broader in scope than my previous work, and the high level of difficulty makes it very challenging because it involves taking a bird's-eye view of the whole picture in light of knowledge of industries and business processes. It demands the knowledge and skills to make recommendations to and negotiate with high-ranking client managers above the section-chief level. Beyond project implementation, as a resident member in Malaysia, I also need to see things from the perspective of how the office will grow in the future. So I've come to take on my work from a more elevated vantage point than when I'm in Japan.

Moreover, in moving forward with my work, I put thought into communicating from a place of understanding diverse cultures, ideas and work-styles. Above all, Malaysia is a multiethnic nation, and since we have members from various backgrounds, we work together on projects while mutually respecting each other's modes of thought. When it comes to how the work is done, after physically experiencing the sense of speed at which things proceed overseas, I've been able to acquire a hybrid Japanese and overseas work-style.

Future ~Growth Story~

My aim is to become the kind of global player who can generate high output while working anywhere, anytime and with anybody. Since business practices, cultures and needs differ depending on the country, simply transposing Japanese trends and standards overseas won't work. In order to help clients achieve the ideal they are aiming for, while the latest digital technology goes without saying, it's also necessary to catch up on local market trends and latent client needs.

Also, the ability to provide products (business processes and IT solutions) with Japanese standards of quality, as well as meticulous communication, is one of the strengths that ABeam has, given that its headquarters is in Japan. Clients give us high marks for this. I want to show how we can help clients in Malaysia achieve their vision by making the most of these strengths and this knowledge.
