University College London Streamlines Reporting Strategy with ABeam Consulting

Kidlington, Oxfordshire, 20th January 09 - University College London (UCL) has appointed management consultancy ABeam Consulting to help review and improve its reporting strategy. The contract was won through the OGC Catalist public sector procurement framework. ABeam’s extensive assessment will help the university consolidate and streamline management reporting capabilities

UCL’s Director of Management Systems, Will Miller said: “We needed to review our current capabilities and how we can meet future reporting demands cost-effectively. We chose ABeam for their pragmatic approach and the independent expertise they can provide through their Business Intelligence practice.”

The consulting firm will assess reporting needs within UCL, for both short and long term horizons. This in-depth assessment will deliver a comprehensive roadmap for a sustainable reporting environment, and will address organisational considerations as well as technology options.

David Hughes, Practice Director at ABeam Consulting, explains why such a move is becoming increasingly important. “ABeam is pleased to be helping UCL take a strategic look at it’s reporting capabilities, which have developed organically over many years. We will be able to help UCL respond to an increasingly competitive higher education sector, through managing daily activities with greater efficiency and by proactively dealing with challenges coming down the track.”
