ABeam Consulting Europe hosted customers and partners for a hospitality event during the recently concluded Kiel Week 2006. Team ABeam comprising Ms. Ai Kondo and Ms. Chika Ishikawa, trained by a former Whitbread Round the World Race winning team member, competed in the 470 class race. Attendees watched the race from the deck of a 61ft Schooner, the Vera Mary 1932.
Kieler Woche in Kiel Germany is one of the biggest sailing events in the world and Northern Germany's largest summer festival. Sailors come from around the world to participate in the regatta and sailing events while Kiel hosts entertainment and educational activities day and night for a week. Open air markets, singers, dancers, international fare, plus all types of ships from navies around the world combine to make this a spectacular event.
“ABeam Consulting has a very long association with regattas and sailing events and there was no better way to start that in Europe than in Kiel. It was an excellent day on the water aboard the historic Vera Mary, with good interaction in an informal atmosphere with our customers and partners, capped by a top 10 finish for Team ABeam.” says Michael Schneider, CRM Service Area lead at ABeam Consulting Europe.
